KVVU-TV, FOX5, Las Vegas, is looking for someone with an eye for news and someone with the creativity to tell stories through the lens of their camera. You must be self-motivated, have good communication skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Primary duties include gathering video, interviews, and information, editing for broadcast and digital/ social platforms, setting up/ executing live shots, knowledge in ENG cameras, using cellular Live broadcast devices (Live U), and other duties as assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
– Gathering video and sound for stories
– Shoot daily live shots
– Editing stories for television, web
– Contribute to the entire editorial process, including sourcing, enterprising, gathering, story construction, and presentation.
Qualifications/Requirements:
– Minimum 2 to 3 years of prior videography experience in a TV Newsroom.
– Associates or Bachelor’s degree in journalism, TV production, or related field- equivalent experience considered
– Non-linear editing experience
– Computer Experience
– Proven ability to post content on social media platforms
– Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
– Flexible schedule with on-call assignments
– MVR check during pre-employment
