Job Summary/Description:
KVVU, FOX5, the Gray-owned station in Las Vegas, has an opening for a Bilingual (Spanish) reporter.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Bilingual reporter, writing/speaking proficient in both English and Spanish.
– Generate strong story ideas and produce/report those stories for on-air and digital channels.
– Must be experienced in handling breaking news and live field coverage as needed.
– The successful candidate must be fully bilingual (Spanish) and proficient in delivering our local content on air and online in both English and Spanish as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
– Three years of minimum experience as a reporter in a TV newsroom.
– Must be bilingual, with the ability to report on air and online both in English and Spanish.
– Proven, demonstrated ability to conceive and pitch strong enterprise (original) story ideas that support the FOX5 “Local Las Vegas” brand.
– College degree preferred, but not required.
