The Nevada Broadcasters Foundation seeks an enthusiastic individual for the position of Executive Assistant/Operations Coordinator. The right candidate will be fully vaccinated for COVID to comply with company policies.

Candidate must have previous administrative experience. Previous fundraising and nonprofit experience is preferred. Several of the inherent functions and responsibilities include day-to-day administrative duties. Applicants must have basic knowledge of word processing programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to multi-task and take direction is a must. Setting up, facilitating and teardown of fundraising events is a requirement and may consist of working selected weekends and evenings if an event calls for it.

Candidates must be well organized, have the ability to maintain records, work well with others and have the ability to work with high school and college students. The Executive Assistant/Operations Coordinator will be expected to serve on all fundraising committees.

The position reports directly to the Association’s Vice President who is the Foundation’s Executive Director, however will be employed by the Nevada Broadcasters Association who is led by the Association’s President. 

Responsibilities Include:

Executive Assistant to NVBA Vice President/NVBF Executive Director.

Overseeing all current fundraising efforts including:

            Northern and Southern Golf Tournaments

            Hall of Fame Silent Auction and Live Appeal

Creating new fundraising opportunities such as, but not limited to:

            Legacy gifts from all former Hall of Fame inductees

            Grant opportunities

            Following up on all former donors

            Broadcast employees monthly give

Assisting the Executive Director with the entire scholarship process including, but not limited to:

            Updating scholarship application annually

            Vetting all applications

            Scheduling all student interviews (Fall Semester)

            Requesting and reviewing all official school transcripts (Fall and Spring Semesters)

            Calculating individual award amounts (Fall and Spring Semesters)

            Keeping open communications with all current scholars

Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:

            Solicitation of volunteers

            Assisting with other duties of the Foundation’s day to day operations

            Publicity, including but not limited to: implementing school and station outreach, social media, etc.

Salary is based on experience, accompanied with a bonus structure.
