KVVU, FOX5, the Gray-owned station in Las Vegas has an opening for an experienced anchor/reporter. The position will include anchoring and reporting each work day.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Anchor on air and online daily as scheduled.
– Must be experienced in handling breaking news and live field coverage as needed.
– This position will anchor or co-anchor at least one hour of news.
– All FOX5 anchors also report, so the successful candidate will also demonstrate a track record of strong enterprise reporting.
Qualifications/Requirements:
– Five years minimum experience as an anchor and reporter in a television newsroom.
– Proven ability to conceive and pitch strong enterprise (original) story ideas that support the FOX5 “Local Las Vegas” brand.
– Strong writing and the ability to tell engaging stories through visual mediums are essential.
– College degree preferred, but not required.
