KTNV, The E.W. Scripps station in Las Vegas, Nevada is searching for a producer for our morning lifestyle program. This Morning Blend Producer will help create, lead and organize content for multiple platforms utilizing strong editorial, journalistic, organizational and communication skills.
  • Develops and organizes newscasts or local programs; responsible for writing, story development and showcasing.

  • Collaborates with reporters, anchors, news managers and assignment editors to determine content needs.

  • Enhances the content with graphics, video, research, and station branding.

  • Executes time sensitive decisions.

  • Responsible for oversight of live broadcast and up to the minute editorial decisions.

  • Performs desktop editing.

  • Posts content to station’s Web sites.

  • Attend Sales Client Meetings with Account Executives.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a television writer or producer.

  • Experience with lifestyle/sales related program production a plus.


  • Excellent conversational, creative writing, organizational and attention to detail skills.

    Adaptive, self motivated and able to work in fast paced, deadline driven environment.

  • Strong vision and ability to advance stories.

  • Excellent interpersonal communicator.

  • Extraordinarily passionate about writing; courageous and creative storyteller with attention to even tiny details – choosing the perfect words, grammar, spelling.

  • Highly organized.

  • Highly adaptable – fast paced, deadline driven environment

  • Strong self-motivation.

  • Working knowledge of journalistic ethics and libel laws and strong editorial judgement.

  • Must be proficient with final cut and or adobe premiere editing systems, MS Office, MS Word.
