ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
One year reporting/VJ/MMJ experience preferred. Must have interviewing and writing skills, with the ability to tell a story under strict deadlines • Knows how to shoot, edit, and write for the web. • Embraces technology, writing and posting across multiple platforms daily, including blogging and updating the web site and mobile products. • Understands station goals and target audience, and works to deliver compelling stories on subjects mattering to the target audience. • Working knowledge of current events and local issues. • Develops and maintains community sources and contacts. • Strong LIVE skills required.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Willing to reside within 30 minutes of station. Available for varying work schedules due to temporary or permanent schedule changes, or breaking news coverage (including weekends, overnights and out-of-town assignments). Salary based on experience.
