2012 Hall of Fame Gala

The 17th Annual Hall of Fame Gala will be held on Saturday evening, August 18, 2012.  The event will be held in the Summerlin Ballroom at Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa.  Doors will open promptly at 6:00 PM.  Tickets are $100 per person. The Induction of the Class of 2012 will begin promptly at 7:00 PM.  Dinner, Dessert and Concert will follow.

The theme of the evening is "I AM A BROADCASTER" and is dedicated to our northern Nevada television and radio stations for their raising the bar and setting the standard of Nevada broadcast journalism during the Amtrak train wreck in Fallon, the IHOP shooting in Carson City, the Reno Air Races crash and the Caughlin and Washoe fires.

The National Association of Broadcasters will receive our Lifetime Achievement Award.  Accepting will be NAB President and CEO Senator Gordon Smith.  Las Vegas Events will receive our Pinnacle Award.  Accepting will be LVE President and CEO Pat Christenson.  KCEP 88.1 FM in Las Vegas will receive our Community Achievement Award.  Accepting will be Craig Knight, General Manager.  Special recognition will also be given to Richard Zaragoza, Esq., Earlene Lefler, Eric Bonnici and the late J.K. Metzker, former sports director of KTVN-TV.

Proceeds go towards the Nevada Broadcasters Foundation Scholarship Fund named in honor of Tony and Linda Bonnici.
